Free Public Tours: Travellers to Qatar from the Past

Over the centuries people from different countries have visited the shores of Qatar. But who were these people and why did they come? The National Museum contains many of the diaries, letters and records of these travellers and their perceptions of Qatar. Come along and find out what they wrote as part of our free public tours.
A Parade of Flags
Friday 13 December, 4.00-6.00pm
Families. First come, first serve. Free event.
Hear the story about the national flag of Qatar and then take part in our workshop where we design and have a ‘parade’ of national flags in the Baraha.
Sketching the Desert Rose

Intermediate level drawing skills recommended.
This short course introduces participants to the skills of architectural drawing on location. Using the fantastical architecture of NMoQ as a source of inspiration, participants will walk around the building to sketch its different aspects.
