Children’s Exploration Journey

Brief Description: 
Join us in celebrating World Children’s Day, where children will be taken on an adventure between the family exhibits interspersed among the museum galleries. Children will be using their problem-solving skills to complete the journey and acquire new knowledge through this interactive experience!

Virtual Field Trip 

Activity Type: Virtual Tour 
Place: via Zoom platform

Brief Description: 
Students in Qatar and abroad can experience the National Museum of Qatar from their classrooms! These tours are designed to be an engaging and culturally stimulating adventure for students through live interaction with the museum guide.  
Schools can choose one of the following themes: 
•    Qatar’s Formation and Natural Environments 
•     Archeology of Qatar 
•    Life in Qatar 
•    Modern History of Qatar

Public Art Tours  

Program Type: Guided Tour

Brief Description: 

From ALFA 114 fountain sculptures to the large-scale batoola manifested in Motherland, participants of the public art tour will explore the artworks that shape the museum different spaces.

Fun with Arabic alphabet

Brief Description: 

ALFA fountains installation at the National Museum of Qatar is the largest public art by Jean-Michel Othoniel, and it resembles the Arabic alphabet. During this workshop, participants will learn about this amazing artwork and take it as an inspiration to create their own.

Brief Description: 
 We celebrate the most precious time of one’s life, the childhood! In collaboration with Box of Happiness Initiative, young participants will be part of raising awareness about child rights and spread happiness by bringing their toys (gently used or brand new), get busy with creative packing process and finally have the gifts ready to be donated for those who are in danger of being left behind.

“Sirenia – A Little Dugong Tale” is a beautifully illustrated children’s book that features one of the Gulf waters amazing animal “Dugong”. The story will raise awareness among the young readers about this sea mammal, its biggest threat(s), and the importance of protecting it.
