Description:

Take your children on an interactive adventure through the museum’s galleries and family exhibits. This guided tour invites them to use their problem-solving skills to broaden their knowledge of Qatar’s environment, heritage, and culture.

Let’s Discover the Museum Collection

Description:

On the occasion of  World Braille Day, our Learning Team has created a tour that enables visitors with visual impairment to access to the museum's collections through the guide’s commentary and their sense of touch. During the visit, the guide will take participants through the galleries, where they can also find information in Braille about the objects on exhibit.

Description:

Students in Qatar and abroad can experience the National Museum of Qatar from their classrooms! These tours are designed to be an engaging and culturally stimulating adventure for students through live interaction with the museum guide. 
This cultural adventure offers students in Qatar and abroad the chance to explore the National Museum of Qatar right from their classrooms! During the live virtual tour, participants will be able to interact directly with their museum guide.

Description:

In this special workshop participants take on the role of archaeologists to discover fascinating aspects of ancient Qatari history and the pleasure these specialists experience in their work. After a guided tour, participants continue with a hands-on workshop, where they work with sand and gypsum to learn about the casting and molding techniques archaeologists use to create replicas.

Fahad and Rawda’s Adventures with Aws: Pictorial Story for Children

Description:

Children take a journey through the cultural landmarks and historical sites of  Qatar with the help of "The Adventures of Fahd and Raoudha with Aws”. The story describes  the escapades of  two children, Fahd and Rawda, and a hoopoe bird, as they travel to different places in the country.

Description:

Participants will learn about the different kinds of rock carvings found in Qatar and the functions they probably served and make their own rock in sand and gypsum and with inspiration from  both prehistoric and modern artists.

Description:

In this workshop participants will learn about petroglyphs in Qatar and then create their own masterpiece inspired by the petroglyphs in the gallery. They will learn about the different types of clay , the tools used for carving, and the process and techniques for creating an artwork in clay.

Description:

Participants will explore different kind of rock carvings found in Qatar and their probable function. They will learn the basics of screen printing and print their own shirts using ink and rollers with petroglyphs patterns.
